Tuesday Worship

I lead worship on a weekly basis for our Jr High program at Atascadero Bible Church called Jr Highlife. We have a decent sized Jr High group for the area were in with about 130-150ish students. I am blessed with the chance to lead our youth into some awesome times of worship and am continually blessed being able to use the gifts and abilities God has given me. this was such a fun set! It is funny how God works things out with worship. We had a guest speaker come and speak about Joy and I didn't find this out till after our first practice. It was so fitting to have Happy Day as one of our songs Its such a fun one and I love seeing the kids jump and go crazy for God! I have never jumped during a performance because I have never been able to play and jump at the same time, but i felt comfortable doing so this time around. When I did my strap came off and my guitar almost went flying. Luckily I caught and got the strap back on. I learned my lesson.... Strap Locks! haha or no Jumping!

We actually had one more problem this set but it all worked out fine. Our third song Everything Glorius has a click track (backing track) which adds all the cool sounds, loops, and synth parts to the song.(Listen Here) Listen to any David Crowder song and you will know what im talking about. Ive been playing with "click" for a while and never had any problems! well I spoke too soon because we went to play the track and NO SOUND! My worst nightmare! There are so many places the sound could be not functioning. We weren't able to fix the problem quickly enough and went ahead with the song without the track. I know God knew what he was doing and the song worked out great! I found that our bass player had gotten on the macbook prior to the set and was watching videos on youtube. He had pressed mute on the keyboard. I felt like an idiot after for not catching it but I knew I had checked that before we went on. I just didn't realize anyone had been on inbetween that and our set. God works everything out though and we had a great time leading others into the presence of God!
